There has been a rise in international marriages in South Korea in the past few years, but it looks like the COVID-19 pandemic has changed some things. In 2019, international weddings accounted for 9.8% of all weddings in South Korea. However, that number plummeted to 7.1% in 2020, the first year of the pandemic.
